How does CIM support “Buy Local. Buy Regional.”?

We make it easy for Caribbean consumers to discover and purchase products from local vendors across the region, reducing import dependencies and strengthening inter-island commerce. Our platform connects 2.3M+ businesses across 28 islands through one seamless marketplace.

Which islands does CIM serve?

CIM serves 28 Caribbean dependencies including Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao (ABC Islands), Sint Maarten, Saba, Sint Eustatius (SSS Islands), Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, and many more across the region.

How do I create an account?

Click “Register” in the top menu. Choose the option “I am a customer” and provide your basic information, and verify your email address. You’ll have immediate access to browse and purchase from thousands of Caribbean vendors.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Revolut, Skrill, and CARET tokens. All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways.

What is CARET and how do I use it?

CARET is our Caribbean Eco Token (ERC-20) that supports sustainable development across the region. You can purchase CARET tokens and use them for marketplace transactions, often with special discounts and benefits.

How does shipping work?

Currently, individual vendors manage their own shipping arrangements and work with local shipping companies of their choice. Delivery times and costs vary by vendor and destination. You’ll see shipping details on each product page before completing your purchase. Note: We are actively seeking shipping partners to provide integrated logistics solutions across the Caribbean region. Can I track my order?

Yes! Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. You can also view order status in your account dashboard.

What is your return policy?

Return policies are set by individual vendors and are clearly displayed on each vendor’s profile and product listings. Generally, most vendors offer 14-day returns for unused items in original packaging.

How do I contact a vendor?

You can message vendors directly through our platform messaging system. Click “Contact Vendor” on any product page.

How do I become a vendor on CIM?

Visit our “Become a Vendor” page and complete the registration form. Our team will review your application and guide you through the onboarding process. There are zero entry barriers – no membership fees required!

What does it cost to sell on CIM?

CIM charges a simple 5% commission on successful transactions to keep the platform operational and to keep our innovation streak going. There are no monthly fees, listing fees, or hidden costs.

How do I manage shipping?

Vendors currently choose and work with their preferred local shipping companies. You’re responsible for: - Setting your shipping rates - Packaging orders - Arranging pickup or drop-off with your chosen carrier - Providing tracking information to buyers We’re developing integrated shipping partnerships to make this easier in the future.

When do I get paid?

Payments are processed within 5-7 business days after order delivery confirmation. Funds are deposited directly to your registered bank account or CARET wallet.

Can I accept CARET tokens?

Yes! All vendors can accept CARET tokens as payment. This often attracts eco-conscious buyers and supporters of sustainable Caribbean development.

How do I handle customer service?

Vendors are responsible for responding to customer inquiries within 48 hours and managing returns according to their stated policies. CIM provides dispute resolution support when needed.

CIMpay

What is CIMpay?

CIMpay is our integrated payment solution designed specifically for Caribbean commerce. It provides secure, seamless transactions across multiple currencies and payment methods, including traditional payments and CARET tokens.

How does CIMpay work?

CIMpay processes all marketplace transactions through secure payment gateways, supporting credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Revolut, Skrill and CARET tokens. All payments are encrypted and protected with industry-standard security measures.

What currencies does CIMpay support?

CIMpay supports multiple currencies including USD, EUR, Caribbean Guilder (XCG), and CARET tokens, making it easy for buyers and vendors across the 28 dependencies to transact in their preferred currency.

Is CIMpay secure?

Yes! CIMpay uses bank-level encryption, PCI DSS compliance, and multi-factor authentication to protect all transactions. We never store complete payment card information on our servers.

Are there transaction fees with CIMpay?

For buyers, there are no additional fees to use CIMpay. For vendors, payment processing it's 1.5% commission.

Can I use CIMpay outside the marketplace?

Currently, CIMpay is exclusively for Caribbean Impact Market transactions. We’re exploring options to expand CIMpay as a standalone payment solution for Caribbean businesses in the future.
