Getting Started

New to CIM?

Caribbean Impact Market is the region’s first integrated B2B and B2C digital marketplace connecting businesses and consumers across 28 Caribbean dependencies. Our mission is to empower Caribbean entrepreneurs and promote sustainable regional trade.

How to Create an Account

  1. Click “Register” in the top menu
  2. Choose account type: Customer or Vendor
  3. Fill in your information (name, email, location)
  4. Verify your email address
  5. Complete your profile

No fees to join! Creating a customer account is completely free, and vendors pay zero listing fees.

Navigating the Marketplace

  • Browse by Category: Explore our 20+ product categories from Local Food & Agriculture to Caribbean Crafts & Art
  • Search: Use the search bar to find specific products or vendors
  • Filter by Island: Shop from vendors in specific Caribbean dependencies
  • Featured Vendors: Discover trusted sellers in our Marketplace section

For Buyers

How to Place an Order

  1. Browse products and add items to your cart
  2. Review your cart and proceed to checkout
  3. Enter shipping address
  4. Select payment method (credit card, PayPal, or CARET tokens)
  5. Review order details and confirm purchase
  6. Receive order confirmation via email

Payment Methods

We accept payments in all Caribbean currencies: – Caribbean Guilders (XCG) – Curaçao, Sint Maarten – East Caribbean Dollar (XCD) – Eastern Caribbean territories – Aruban Florin (AWG) – Aruba – US Dollar (USD) – Multiple territories – Euro (EUR) – French Caribbean – Other regional currencies: JMD, TTD, BBD, BSD, KYD, BMD, DOP, HTG – Digital currency: CARET tokens

Payment methods: Credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Revolut, Skrill

All payments are processed securely through CIMpay, our integrated payment solution.

Tracking Your Order

  1. Log into your account
  2. Go to “Order History”
  3. Click on your order number
  4. View tracking information (when provided by vendor)

You’ll also receive tracking updates via email when available.

Returns & Refunds

Return policies are set by individual vendors. To initiate a return:

  1. Contact the vendor through our messaging system within the return window
  2. Explain your reason and provide photos if needed
  3. Follow vendor’s return instructions
  4. Receive refund once vendor confirms receipt

Need help? If a vendor doesn’t respond within 48 hours, contact our support team.

Leaving Reviews

Help other buyers by sharing your experience: – Rate products (1-5 stars) – Write detailed reviews – Upload photos of your purchase – Reviews appear on product pages after verification


For Vendors

How to Become a Vendor

  1. Visit “Sell on CIM” page
  2. Complete vendor registration form
  3. Provide business information and verification documents
  4. Set up your vendor profile
  5. Start listing products

Zero entry barriers! No membership fees, no listing fees—just a simple 5% commission on sales.

Commission Structure

  • 3% platform fee
  • 2% innovation fee
  • Total: 5% per transaction

No hidden costs. No monthly fees.

Managing Your Store

Access your Vendor Dashboard to: – Add and edit product listings – Manage inventory – Process orders – Communicate with customers – Track sales and payments – Update shipping settings

Getting Paid

  • Payments processed within 5-7 business days after delivery confirmation
  • Funds deposited to your registered bank account or CARET wallet
  • View payment history in your dashboard
  • Download invoices and reports

Shipping Management

Vendors currently manage their own shipping arrangements: – Choose your preferred local shipping company – Set your own shipping rates – Provide tracking information to buyers – Handle packaging and fulfillment

Tip: Offer multiple shipping options to attract more buyers.

  • Respond to inquiries within 48 hours
  • Provide accurate product descriptions and photos

CIMpay

Payment Security

Your security is our priority: – We never store complete payment card information – All transactions are encrypted – Secure checkout process – Regular security audits – GDPR and KYC/AML compliant

Reporting Fraud

If you suspect fraudulent activity: 1. Do not complete the transaction 2. Report immediately to support@caribimpact.market 3. Provide order details and screenshots 4. Our team will investigate within 24 hours


Shipping & Returns

How Shipping Works

Individual vendors manage their own shipping arrangements. This means: – Shipping rates vary by vendor – Delivery times depend on vendor’s location and shipping method – Tracking availability varies – Each vendor sets their own policies

Typical Delivery Times

  • Inter-Island (Caribbean): 3-7 business days
  • International: 7-21 business days

Times vary by vendor and destination

Return Process

  1. Check vendor’s return policy (displayed on product page)
  2. Contact vendor within return window (typically 14 days)
  3. Follow vendor’s return instructions
  4. Ship item back in original condition
  5. Receive refund after vendor inspection

Non-Returnable Items

Most vendors don’t accept returns on: – Perishable goods – Custom/personalized items – Digital products – Gift cards – Intimate items


Account Management

Updating Your Profile

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click “My Account” or profile icon
  3. Select “Edit Profile”
  4. Update information (name, email, phone, address)
  5. Save changes

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to “Account Settings”
  2. Click “Change Password”
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password (minimum 8 characters)
  5. Confirm new password

Email Preferences

Manage your email notifications: – Order confirmations – Shipping updates – Promotional emails (25% newsletter discount!) – Vendor messages – Account security alerts

Closing Your Account

To close your account: 1. Complete all pending orders 2. Resolve any open disputes 3. Contact support@caribimpact.market 4. Request account closure 5. Confirm via email

Note: Vendors must settle all payments before closing accounts

Common Issues

Can’t log in? – Click “Forgot Password” to reset – Check your email for reset link – Clear browser cache and cookies – Try a different browser

Payment declined? – Verify card details are correct – Check with your bank for restrictions – Ensure sufficient funds – Try alternative payment method

Product images not loading? – Check your internet connection – Refresh the page – Clear browser cache – Try a different device

Can’t upload product photos? – Check file size (max 5MB per image) – Use supported formats (JPG, PNG, GIF) – Compress large images – Try uploading one at a time
